Hyundai Heavy Industries.
Huge pot of shellfish topped off with an octopus. Shellfish was awesome, octopus wasn't so much. I ate octopus brain.
A couple Korean friends who work for HHI in various positions gave me a tour of the huge facility where they make massive ships of all shapes and sizes. Their Headquarters are about 10 minutes from my place. HHI is the world's largest shipbuilder. The whole thing is all above my head but I was told that 110 ships get made every year which averages to about a little over 9 ships a month. With each ship having 300 employees working on each ship at all times.

Random Awesomeness
Alice saying hello.
If you mess with the teacher in class, you get your ear cut off, those are the breaks.
You don't call retarded people retards. It's bad taste. You call your friends retards when they are acting retarded. And I consider Shawn (pictured) a friend.
Bridge in Seongnamdong, 15 minutes from my place.
Butcher at a meat shop playing the trumpet.
I give the previous picture 1 thumb up.

Kids
Some picture of the kids I work with. They're damn cute but they are also very loud and obnoxious at times as kids tend to be.
Linda
Rio, Sunny and Mary.
Alice, one of the most adorable kids but also one of the loudest and rowdiest.
Alice, love how she's missing like 3 chiclets
Raise your hands if your sure.

Juvenile
When I first started this blog I wanted it to be somewhat informative and give an experience of how life is going here for the few who've actually checked this page out but after a while, I kinda just wanted to input any pictures I find amusing just for my own laughs. Many pictures are juvenile along with some of the comments but I'm not going to be here all that long so I'm just going to post things I deem worthy. I'm not going to be writing on and on about my trials and tribulations here like I've read of other people's blogs. Why? Because people got sh#t to do. More pics coming soon.
At ELC and around.
Pictures of ELC and non ELC related activities.
I need some carrots and ...
What's the weather like?
Mmm. beer.
Nothing beats a small carton of Soju to get you through your day, way better than Capri Sun.
This guy needs 2 locks to keep his rickshaw from being taken. Very valuable.

Daegu and Costco
Took a day trip to Daegu, about an hour and a half train ride. Why Daegu you ask? Because it has a freaking Costco thats why. Costco is God.
Thanks Daegu, for putting your Costco in the middle of nowhere.
Costco goodness that you can't get at the Homeplus or E-Mart or Mega Mart.
Costco Bulgolgi Pizza for equivalent to 8 bucks. So delicious.
Abandoned at the Costco really isn't so bad, we should all be so lucky.
Slept like that for a good 10 minutes as I made my rounds.
Daegu in all its glory.
Another view.

Gyeong-Ju
Some facts about Gyeong-Ju: Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla. The Silla kingdom arose at the turn of the 1st millennium, and ruled most of the Korean Peninsula by the 7th century until the 9th centuries. A vast number of archaeological sites from this period remain in the city.
Entrance to Bulguksa Temple constructed in 751 AD.
Pillow, seriously, look at the tag. Gyeong-Ju National Museum.
The first Nike's ever created.
First Air Jordans.
Blind cowboy
Me in front of the East and North Guardians of Bulguksa Temple. They were created to keep the bad spirits and demons away.
Demons that have been kept out of Bulguksa by the Guardians. Curiously, both guys got eyes that look like my friend, B.
Divine Bell of King Seongdeok at Gyeong-Ju National Museum.
How can I get into the least comfortable position to take this picture? Ah...perfect!
Yes, please show respect to the fake coffin everyone.
No comment that could top that pic so i won't even try.
Matching couple. There are a ton of couples who wear the same clothing in this country, it's freaking weird. Here's people in pink.

Ben and BANG!
When we have new students, its up to the foreign teachers to give them names. I give suggestions, students pick it themselves so they won't feel like I'm purposely giving them a crappy name.

I'm trying to figure out if 'TEAM BANG' is his name or if Team Bang the name of his actual team. Either way, I don't want to be on Team Bang.

Me and Ben. This kid is a little punk however, he also looks like a little stoner kid. Won't be able to really see it in this picture but he's got bags under his eyes and this weird smile. Also, he has dead eyes, looks like he's high all the time. I'll have to get a pic of him looking straight into the camera b/c then it'd be more apparent.

Baggy-eyed Ben
So during the moon festival at the local Ilsan Beach, my boss told me that they were having a celebration for the coming of the full moon. I worked too late to see anything and it looked like there was a stage there too. Only thing i ended up seeing is about 20-30 Koreans surrounding this pit of fire staring into it. They really know how to have fun in Ulsan.
